Privacy policy

What information do we collect, and why?
When you shop at any Health Sector Publishing Ltd owned websites and any other domain names operated on the websites, there are different ways we gather information about you:

We ask for information such as your name, e-mail address, delivery address, contact details and, if you place an order, your credit card details.

We keep a record of this information so that we can recognise you as a registered customer and fulfil the orders you place with us.

We keep a record of your purchases with us, this means we can send you the most relevant offers. It also means we can deal a lot quicker with any problems you may experience with your order.

We keep a record of any e-mail correspondence you send us. This helps us keep track of any problems or concerns you've had with our products or services.

The information collected about you will not be shared with any third parties and is stored indefinitely for product and service development, directing marketing and marketing analysis.

We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.

We reveal only the last five digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing.

Information relating to the Distance Selling Directives (DSRs)

In September 2006, the European Commission issued the Distance Selling Directive. The regulations give protection to our customers who shop by phone, mail order and via the Internet (which are all examples of distance selling). The regulations encourage confidence and are important because you cannot inspect our products when shopping at a distance.

The distance selling regulations are there to make sure that you make an informed choice about whether you wish to buy from us and also ensure that we give you the right to a cancellation period.

The Distance Selling Directive says that we must give you the information below:
